Couture vs. Toney is being portrayed as a MMA vs Boxing match but I see it more as an oldschool brawl like the early days of the UFC. Just like how Royce Gracie vs. Ken Shamrock was a wrestling vs. jiu-jitsu match, this is much the same. Its a wrestler vs. a boxer.I'm not going to lie. The fights probably going to be boringggg. Couture will do what he does best and push Toney on the cage in the clinch and then when there's an opening he will go for the double leg takedown. It will be a submission win if we're lucky, but it will probably end up in an unanimous decision for couture.
When you put a boxer like Toney who's trained in MMA for what? 13 month? Vs. a wrestler like Couture who's been in MMA for 13 years! The wrestler will win 9/10 times.
