Goodbye and Good Riddance

Goodbye J.P. Ricciardi! How many fans out there can honestly say they are even remotely sad at seeing the Toronto Blue Jay leave? For 8 years we have seen nothing but bad moves and even worse trades. To name only a few: signing Ryan to a $47-million five-year deal, giving Frank Thomas an $18-million two-year deal with a vesting option, and of course EVERYBODY`S favourite: sign Vernon Wells to a $127-million, seven-year deal.

The Jays said Montreal native Alexander Anthopoulos, vice-president of baseball operations and assistant general manager will take over for Ricciardi. All i hope is he learn from J.P.`s mistakes and helps bring the Jays back into the playoffs.
